Lithion Recycling Appoints Eva Carissimi as VP and General Manager

MONTREAL, QC, February 8, 2022 – Lithion Recycling announced today the appointment of Eva Carissimi to the role of VP and General Manager. In her role, Ms. Carissimi will be responsible for the operations of the commercial plants based in Quebec and owned by Lithion.

Ms. Carissimi is a highly regarded metallurgical engineer with 30 years of experience in publicly listed companies, start-ups and large mining and metallurgical operations. A McGill University alumna, Ms. Carissimi began her career in 1989 at Noranda’s Horne Smelter, now Glencore, where she held various leadership positions. She then joined Falconbridge in 2005 where she held progressive roles as Smelter Operations Manager, Mine Manager of Craig Mine and Smelter Director. In 2012, she became President and CEO of Canadian Electrolytic Zinc, the manager of the Noranda Income Fund. Prior to joining Lithion Recycling, Ms. Carissimi was the Vice President, Operations for a speciality metals development company where she was responsible for mining and metallurgy plant operations, environment and community relations.

Ms. Carissimi is also actively involved in her community. She has held numerous board positions throughout the years and has been promoting and mentoring women in business and engineering for various initiatives in Quebec.
